Truths About Hypnotherapy

  • ALL hypnosis a consent state. It is your mind and your body, you are in control. You cannot be hypnotized without your consent.

  • Hypnosis is a heightened state of awareness. You are more aware in the state of hypnosis than in your normal level of consciousness. In hypnosis, you operate from a conscious and subconscious level of mind at the same time allowing you to experience an enhanced level of awareness.

An example of this is your breathing. If you become aware of your breath, you bring a subconscious function(breathing) to your conscious awareness. Now you can control it consciously. You have the ability to change your breathing, making it deeper or shallower or changing the rate of your breath at. In hypnosis, you have a complete awareness of everything that is happening but also the ability to tap into your subconscious mind at the same time.

  • Your secrets are safe in hypnosis. People can tell a lie in hypnosis if they choose to do so and will not disclose anything they prefer to keep secret.

  • Hypnosis is self-controlled. You have complete awareness and are in control. You would never do anything that would violate your morals and values or harm yourself.

  • You can never get stuck in hypnosis. Hypnosis is a natural state of mind which you can never get stuck in. If you chose not to come out of hypnosis you would simply fall asleep and would awaken like you normally would in the morning.

  • Hypnosis is a state of deep physical relaxation. Just 10 minutes of hypnosis is equivalent to a few hours of sleep.

  • You can never get stuck in hypnosis. Because Hypnosis is a natural state of mind, you can always terminate your trance. You will either return to your normal state of consciousness or you will drift off to sleep and then wake up.
